Cookie Policy
COOKIE POLICY
Last Modified: March 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies are, how Matri Group UK Limited and its data controller Hatch Studios, LLC (“We,” “Us,” or “Our”) use them on Our Website at hatchcollection.uk (the “Website”) and Our other Platforms, and what choices You have in relation to them.
This Policy should be read alongside Our Privacy Policy, which sets out more detail about how We collect, use and protect your personal data and the rights You have in relation to it.
1. Cookie Consent and PECR Compliance.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (“PECR”), We are required to obtain your consent before placing any cookies or similar technologies on your device, unless such cookies are strictly necessary for the provision of a service You have requested.
When You first visit Our Website, You will be presented with a cookie consent banner that allows You to accept or reject non-essential cookies by category. You may change your cookie preferences at any time by accessing Our cookie settings tool at the bottom of any page of the Website.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent. These cookies are essential for the operation of Our Website and enable You to navigate and use the features of the Website, such as accessing secure areas or using shopping cart functions. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies while using the Website.
For all other categories of cookie — analytics, marketing, and functional cookies — We will only place them on your device after You have given Us your consent through the consent banner. Your consent is voluntary and You may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.
2 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer, tablet, or mobile device when You visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember certain information about your visit. Cookies serve a number of different purposes, as set out in this Policy.
In addition to cookies, We and Our third-party partners may use other similar tracking technologies on the Website, including:
-
Web beacons: tiny invisible images embedded in web pages and emails that register when a page or email has been opened.
-
Pixel tags: small pieces of code embedded in web pages that collect information about how You interact with the Website.
-
Local storage and session storage: technologies that store data in your browser to support website functionality, such as remembering your shopping cart contents.
-
Device identifiers: unique identifiers associated with your device that may be used for advertising and analytics purposes on mobile devices.
-
Entity tags (ETags): browser cache identifiers that help pages load faster by allowing your browser to recall portions of the Website.
References to “cookies” in this Policy include all such similar technologies unless stated otherwise. You can find more information about cookies generally at www.allaboutcookies.org.
3 Categories of Cookies We Use.
Our cookie consent management platform (CMP) provides the most up to date and accurate list of the cookies used on this site. Please consult the information found in the cookie policy banner on our website.
[We also provide a table below detailing specific cookies identified on the Website. However, because the Website is a live platform and the cookie landscape changes as We update Our services and third-party integrations, the table may not reflect every cookie present at any given time. Once again, the CMP list is the most accurate.]
As a general matter we use four types of Cookie. The four categories are as follows:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Website to work. They enable core functions such as page navigation, access to secure areas, shopping basket management, checkout, and fraud prevention. The Website cannot function properly without these cookies, and they cannot be disabled. They do not store any personally identifiable information and do not require your consent under PECR.
Examples of strictly necessary cookies on the Website include those set by Our e-commerce platform Shopify that maintain your session, retain your shopping basket, and support secure checkout.
Analytics Cookies
These cookies allow Us to count visits to the Website and understand how visitors move around it. They help Us identify which pages are most and least popular, measure how visitors arrived at the Website, and understand the overall performance of the Website. All information collected by analytics cookies is aggregated and, where possible, anonymised. We use this information to improve the Website and your experience on it.
Analytics cookies on the Website are primarily provided by Google Analytics, which generates statistical reports about Website traffic and usage. Please consult Google’s Cookie Policy for more information (available on our website). We may also use analytics tools provided by Microsoft, or embedded within Our e-commerce platform. These cookies require your consent before being placed on your device.
Marketing and Advertising Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track your visits to the Website and other websites in order to build a profile of your interests and show You relevant advertisements. They may be set by Us or by third-party advertising networks and platforms with Our permission. These cookies do not store directly personal information but work by uniquely identifying your browser or device.
Marketing cookies on the Website include those set by Meta (which operates the Facebook Pixel) to measure the effectiveness of advertising on Facebook and Instagram; Klaviyo for email marketing attribution; Reddit for advertising measurement; LinkedIn for campaign tracking; and Shopify’s own marketing attribution tools. We may also use cookies that support A/B testing to help Us improve the design and content of the Website. These cookies require your consent before being placed on your device.
We may also use personalisation cookies that build a profile of your browsing and purchase behaviour in order to deliver product recommendations and tailored content on the Website. These are described in under Functional Cookies where they serve a primarily functional purpose.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies enable enhanced features and personalisation on the Website that go beyond what is strictly necessary for it to operate, but which improve your experience. They may be set by Us or by third-party providers whose services We have added to the Website. If You do not allow these cookies, some or all of these features may not work as intended.
Functional cookies on the Website include those set by Swym that power Our wishlist and saved items features; cookies set by Our error monitoring provider Noibu that help Us detect and fix technical issues with the Website; and personalisation cookies that enable product recommendations. These cookies require your consent before being placed on your device.
Session Cookies and Persistent Cookies.
Cookies can be either “session cookies” or “persistent cookies.” Session cookies are stored on your device only for as long as your browser is open and are automatically deleted when You close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device after the browser is closed, for a period of time specified in the cookie, and are re-activated when You return to the website that set them.
Both session and persistent cookies are used on the Website. The specific duration of each cookie is set out where possible in the cookie table.
First-Party and Third-Party Cookies.
First-party cookies are set directly by Us on the Website domain (hatchcollection.uk). Third-party cookies are set by third parties — such as analytics providers, advertising networks, and functionality platforms — when You interact with content or features on the Website that come from those third parties.
We work with a number of third-party platforms and service providers whose cookies may be present on the Website. These third parties have their own privacy policies and cookie policies, which We encourage You to review. We do not control third-party cookies and are not responsible for the information they collect or how it is used. The key third parties whose cookies are currently identified on the Website are listed in Section 9.5 below.
Where We are a joint controller with a third party in respect of the data collected by their cookies (for example in the context of the Facebook Pixel and Meta’s joint controller arrangement for social media pages), further details are set out in the Joint Controllers section of Our Privacy Policy.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences.
You can manage your consent for non-essential cookies at any time using the following methods:
-
Cookie consent tool: Click the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of any page of the Website to review and update your preferences at any time. Your choices will be applied immediately.
-
Browser settings: Most browsers allow You to refuse some or all cookies or to receive a warning when a cookie is being sent to your device. The method for doing this varies by browser. Please refer to your browser’s help documentation for instructions. Please note that blocking cookies through your browser settings may prevent some parts of the Website from functioning correctly, including shopping cart and checkout functionality.
-
Google Analytics opt-out: You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visit by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
-
Mobile device settings: On mobile devices, You can manage advertising identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA or Google’s Advertising ID) through your device’s privacy settings.
-
Third-party opt-outs: Individual third-party advertising and analytics providers offer their own opt-out mechanisms. For example, You can manage Meta advertising preferences at www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads, and You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many network members through the Your Online Choices tool at www.youronlinechoices.com.
5. Third-Party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies.
Some features and content on the Website are provided by third parties, such as advertisers, ad networks, content providers, and app providers (each, a “Third-Party Data Collector”). The Third-Party Data Collector may use cookies, web beacons, or similar tracking tools to collect Personal Data about You when You use the Website. This Personal Data may be linked to your personal details or your activity across different websites and other online services. A Third-Party Data Collector may use this data to show You ads or content that match your interests.
We do not control how any Third-Party Data Collector uses tracking technologies or what they do with the Personal Data they collect. If You have any questions about a specific ad or targeted content, please contact the Third-Party Data Collector directly.
We also work with third party companies to help Us with things like advertising, website analytics, order processing, payment services, customer support, and marketing. These companies may use cookies or similar technologies to collect Personal Data about how You interact with the Website and other websites. They may use and share this Personal Data to show You ads that are more relevant to You.
We may share your Personal Data with these service providers so they can perform services for Us or for You. Some third parties, like payment providers, may collect and process your Personal Data independently according to their own privacy policies. Sometimes, others may share your Personal Data with Us, such as when a friend sends You an E-Gift Card or ships an order to your address. If We receive your Personal Data from someone else, We will only use it for the specific purpose(s) described in Our Privacy Policy.

6 Do-Not-Track Signals.
Some browsers and devices let You send a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) signal to websites You visit. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to these signals, and the Website does not currently alter its behaviour in response to a DNT signal. If a standard is adopted that We are required to follow, We will update this Policy accordingly.
7 Updates to this Cookie Policy.
We review and update this Cookie Policy periodically, including when We add new third-party services to the Website, when new cookies are identified through our audit programme, or when applicable law or regulatory guidance changes. When We make material changes, We will update the “Last Modified” date at the top of this Policy and, where required, present a refreshed consent banner to Website visitors.
We encourage You to review this Policy from time to time to stay informed about how We use cookies. Your continued use of the Website after changes to this Policy are posted constitutes your acknowledgement of the updated Policy in respect of strictly necessary cookies. For non-essential cookies, We will seek fresh consent where required by law.
